John Carrafa is a two-time Tony Award–nominated and Emmy nominated choreographer and director. He is also the recipient of an Obie, the Dora and Lortel Awards, the Media Choreography Award and the World Dance Award for Feature Film.
Upcoming, his choreography will be seen in an Untitled Cameron Diaz-Stephen Merchant Romantic Comedy; Season 4 of HBO's The Gilded Age; Season 6 of Hulu's Only Murders in the Building; and the Netflix drama Rabbit Rabbit, written by Peter Craig, directed by Philip Baratini and starring Adam Driver and Odessa Young.
Throughout his career, Carrafa has collaborated with many of the defining voices in film, television, and theater, including Steven Soderbergh, Stephen Sondheim, Tom Stoppard, Robert De Niro, Meryl Streep, and Tom Hanks. His work spans more than 150 episodes of television, 29 feature films, and nine Broadway productions.
Before beginning his own work as a director and choreographer, Carrafa spent more than a decade as a member of Twyla Tharp Dance.
